Anyone ever spent 10-18 hours a day listening to Christmas music? It’s actually more pleasant than you’d think.
I just barely realized the mall plays the same Christmas songs over and over again. At least they’re lovely! Reminds me of The Polar Express, when the whole town is shut down except for the Christmas music blaring.
The mall after hours… is a great place to chill. Yeah, that’s pretty random.
(By the way, have I mentioned that the mall kinda likes us, and wonders if we do well, if we would consider staying?)

There are certain songs that when I hear them, I still associate them with my few months working in retail.

That’s awesome. I’m starting to have a few favorites that come on every once in a while, and it’s a little pick-me-up during the day.

good luck with your project – when I was at school and working x-mas at a supermarket I knew it was time to take a break when I started singing the next song five seconds before the previous one finished …

Alex,
Thank you!
Lol– I heard a song come on around 9:30 p.m. last night, and I thought, if that song’s playing, it’s about time to close shop.
Next year, I’ll have become so conditioned toward certain kiosk-tasks & Christmas music, that when I hear Jingle Bells, I’ll start counting up the change and bills in my pocket and tarping up anything nearby.
Maybe the mall should put out a Christmas Album?
